FAQ
The length of time a client is in counseling depends the nature of the problem and the goals of the counseling. Some clients have a very specific problem or traumatic event that can be processed in 1-6 sessions. For others, counseling is an on-going learning process and they choose to receive counseling for a longer period.
Sessions are usually 50 minutes. Most clients are seen once or twice a week in the beginning, then, as time goes on, less frequently. The number of sessions depends on what your current needs are.
PRIVATE PAY
Our services are discrete and available to clients to respect their personal experiences.
Our clients choose to pay privately for their counseling services as it allows the benefit of receiving counseling without a mental health diagnosis (which is required to utilize health insurance) or the constraints of an insurance plan.
Payments must be made at the time of the service via cash, check or credit card. When you call to make an appointment, fees and payment options can be discussed to determine the best choice for you.
Sliding Scale Fees are available based on income only.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, check or cash.
If available, clients may use their Health Savings Account or Flex Spending Account to pay for services.
